Q: What does teen driver’s education at Olympic Driving School entail?
A: Our courses consist of (15) 2-hour classroom sessions, (6) 1-hour behind-the-wheel drives, and (1) 1-hour drive observation. Classroom instruction consists of a variety of interactive PowerPoint presentations, group discussions, videos, and electronic quizzes. Each class will have a 5-10 minute break and a wide variety of snacks are available to the students (all for $1).
Q: What if my student needs to miss one or more classes?
A: Students may miss no more than 3 classes during a course, and all missed classes must be made up before the course final is administered. If a student misses more than 3 classes they will be required to repeat the course.
Q: How can students make up missed classes?
A: If your student misses a class, they will need to attend the same class on a different day and time. Talk with your instructor or our office staff to find a time for them to make up the class. If you know beforehand what days the student will miss, it may be possible to attend that class on an earlier day.
Q: How old does my student need to be in order to enroll in drivers ed?
A: Students must be 15 years old on/before the first day of class.
Q: If I am 18 or older can I still enroll in drivers ed?
A: Yes! In fact, it is common for our classes to have students who are 18 or older. However, we also offer private driving lessons for those adults who do not wish to enroll in a formal driver’s education program. These lessons are charged on an hourly rate.
Q: Do you offer a payment plan?
A: Yes, the cost of tuition may be broken down into 2 payments with the balance due before/on the last day of class (Class #15).
